Garbage direct transportation refers to a system that focuses on the treatment of garbage sources, sets up garbage bins and other collection facilities at garbage sources such as residential areas and buildings, and the environmental sanitation department collects garbage at fixed times and points. It is directly sealed and transported to the garbage treatment site for harmless treatment. It is simply summarized as a "bucket truck yard" operation mode, which reduces the environmental pollution caused by the secondary transportation of garbage.
This year, after studying and analyzing the current situation of garbage collection and transportation and the main sources of garbage generation, the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Office proposed to establish a system of "focusing on garbage transfer stations, supplemented by rear loaded garbage compression trucks" in Fuzhou. To this end, Fuzhou added 2500 garbage cans and 16 rear loaded garbage compactors this year.
At present, there are 58 garbage transfer stations in the city. Due to objective factors, the number of existing garbage transfer stations has slightly decreased compared to before. According to Chen Ji, Deputy Director of the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Department, starting from this year, Fuzhou City has gradually improved the direct transportation of urban garbage, achieving a garbage collection and transportation model of "garbage bin collection and centralized cleaning by rear loading garbage compression vehicles on a regular basis", reducing the secondary transportation of garbage, and basically solving the problem of heavy tasks at the existing garbage transfer stations in Fuzhou City. Chen Ji stated that there are currently 292 garbage transport vehicles (including 44 rear loading garbage compression vehicles) in the city, of which 16 new rear loading garbage compression vehicles are added this year. They are regularly transported to centralized collection points 1-2 times a day, achieving garbage not falling to the ground and daily production and cleaning.
In the first half of this year, the dedicated washing yard for garbage transport vehicles located at the Hongmiaoling Garbage Treatment Plant was officially put into use, cleaning all garbage transport vehicles after unloading, and ensuring that they are cleaned before leaving the site. "It not only solves the problem of 'difficult washing' of Garbage truck, but also reduces the labor of front-line Sanitation worker." Chen Ji said that in the past, it took more than an hour to manually clean a Garbage truck, but now it takes only 1 to 2 minutes for each Garbage truck to wash its wheels, chassis and carriage with full automatic high-pressure cleaning, and 300 to 400 vehicles a day.
